Popes Museum is the oldest self taught art museum in Georgia and the southern USA. The guest house is next door. This rocking chair WPA house was once the night watchman house at the Roddenberry syrup plant. Moved here decades ago it is now part of the Pope’s Museum property which has been placed on the National Registry of Historic Places in the categories of Art and women’s history.

This home exceeded our expectations! Michelle and Dan are amazing hosts and felt like old friends. The home is quite interesting with a deep history. Super clean, lot of room with a very comfortable bed. The owners’ passion for preserving its history is very apparent. Very very beautiful grounds. We will be back!
